Sunflower Soiree

The second fundraiser for Kiki's Garden was on July 21st.  It was a gorgeous day, and so many people came out to support the organization.  There was live music (Scott, my dad and Scott's mom joined in on the action), swimming, boating, crafts and games for the kids, a silent auction, a big raffle, a sunflower labyrinth and the day ended with a BBQ.  It was a crazy busy day but a wonderful tribute to my beautiful sister in-law Krista.  It was so nice to see so many people come out and participate.

"Go See Big Boot"

This was what Lil' C said every day after her first visit to LLBean's Flagship store :)  So when the house was still sleeping, she and I would slip out in our jammies to go and visit her favorite place in Maine!!!
Thankfully LLBean is open 24 hours a day and does not mind visitors at 6:30 in the morning in their jammies ;)  For two mornings we got coffee, visited the "Big Boot" and I let her lead me around LLBean.  It was really very fun and she got LOTS of attention at this early hour!
On the last morning, I bought her a key chain version of the "Big Boot" so she could remember it.  She LOVES her little "Big Boot" and smiles widely as she carries it around.  I am thinking it will go on her new LLBean Backpack once the thrill has worn off :)
Such special memories with a very special little girl!
