Our Garden

Well our garden is swimming right now in all this rain but I am hopeful that the sun will shine again and that the seeds had time to root themselves!  We spent about 5 days getting the gardens in...this was with weeding them (second time we weeded them), preparing the soil and planting.  We planted a bunch of new perennials in the front, our two vegetable gardens in the back, my herb planter and a BUNCH of containers.  Scott and I worked in the rain to get the fence up on Sunday so that our good friend CHUCK (aka. woodchuck) wouldn't get in and eat my tomatoes, Swiss chard and peppers!
Each year the garden gets better and I gain a little more knowledge. I am still so "Green" When it comes to gardening but I do think my brown thumb is going away :)  Hopefully our garden will be more fruitful this year than last, although last year was pretty.

Here are some photos of our gardens (before the fence).

Looking Good! You are on your way to a green thumb...All green thumbers garden in their jamies:) Grandma mames could always be caught in her flimsy nightgown early in the morning in the garden pinching off bugs, pulling weeds, watering... It was her morning meditation. Can't wait to see it green up!
HUGS:)

I just love seeing little ones in the garden! My big girl is on strike from ours because she's terrified of the wasps and fire ants right now.
